Happy New Year, ya’ll! I hope you had a wonderful new years weekend and your 2018 is off to a great start! I know I took a little break from posting these last few days, but I promise a little R&R was much needed after the hectic holiday season! After a few lazy days of resting up, I’m ready to get back into the swing of things and excited to officially kick off 2018!
January is usually a pretty relaxed month for me, and after these past few months, I’m definitely not complaining. Fashion wise, I like to pick up some winter wardrobe staples to get me through the last few months of winter – plus I feel like January is always the coldest month. A lot of times, outfits composed of classic pieces are end up being my favorite. There’s just something so timeless about staples styled together that I just love.

These photos were taken in Ohio, but lately it sure has felt like this in Dallas – I only wish we got snow! When it’s super cold out, chunky sweaters and booties are my go-to winter wardrobe staples. This coat is one of my new favorite pieces in my closet. I love the classic cut of this coat with the unexpected pop of fur!
