How to Mix Prints this Holiday Season – Holiday Outfit Idea

November 28, 2017

Leopard print coat brocade skirt velvet clutch pussybow blouse holiday outfit ideaNow that Thanksgiving and Cyber Week are out of the way, it’s time to look to all the holiday events over the next few weeks! I don’t know about you, but I have a party each weekend until Christmas – and if you’re like me don’t worry, because here on Courtney in Couture there will be tons of holiday outfit ideas and inspiration to get you through the holiday season!

Today, I’m apparently channeling my inner Blair Waldorf with this lady like ensemble that would be perfect for a holiday office party or Christmas Eve church service. One of my favorite things to do that can really takes your wardrobe to the next level is mix prints and textures, but there is definitely a bit of an art to it! When mixing different prints and textures, you can’t go wrong if you keep a consistent color throughout to tie together the whole outfit. In this look, for example, each piece has a bit of black in it as the main color or an accent that keeps each piece from clashing when styled all together.

The holidays are my favorite time of year to experiment a bit with my outfits, so definitely don’t be scared to try some new trends or grab that statement piece you’ve had your eye on! After all, tis’ the season for sequins, sparkle, and rich vibrant colors!

Lots of things about this outfit that make it unique and appealing! For starters, that kitty cross body purse is so cute! The pops of black here and there make the prints work really well together! Great job! I love it!
