Happy Sunday! I’m getting this post up a little late today because I’ve been laying around and sleeping in – so I’m just assuming you all are doing the same! It’s actually starting to cool off a little here in Dallas and making me super excited for fall! Its getting to that point in the summer when I’m over all the summer styles and I’m ready to cozy up in a sweater and watch college football (2 more weeks! Geaux Tigers!), unfortunately “cooling off” in Dallas, TX means the high is 85 not 105…hardly sweater weather.
The ability to transcend seasons is one thing that I love about this fun, feminine midi skirt, it’s definitely a great transitional piece for your wardrobe whether it’s worn with tights or a crop top. I’ve styled midi skirts for cooler weather here and here.
If you live in Dallas and haven’t tried Bisous Bisous Patisserie in West Village you definitely should! They have the best macarons, which I’m such a sucker for, and the cutest storefront! They’re conveniently located right next to my nail salon so I can never resist grabbing a few macs after a manicure.
Mixing stripes can be kind of tricky, but pattern mixing makes for such fun outfit combinations! I love these two stripes together because of the contrast between the sizes, while the ivory tone anchors the pieces to keep them from being too busy.
