A bright and fun colored dress is perfect for a spring or summer wedding, add pair of stripy heels and some bright coral lipstick and you’ve got a great summer party look! I love the blue Kate Spade dress shown here with a bright lip and earrings and a big statement necklace! You definitely can’t go wrong with a sparkly and fun clutch (and the frog prince detail is just too perfect)!
Don’t wear black! Unless you plan on dressing it up with some color (or for a winter wedding). I totally didn’t know of this old rule until I was researching wedding dress codes since the attire wasn’t on the invitation. Apparently, black used to be like white…totally off limits but because it’s the color of mourning and can be seen as an insult to the couple. Before you put on that swanky LBD, be sure you know the couple and the family.
Don’t overdress or underdress, true for any event, but especially a wedding. You definitely don’t want to upstage the bride and dressing too casual would just seem sloppy.
Get to the ceremony early. “If you’re on time, you’re late,” totally holds true here. Be sure to show up at least 15-30 minutes early to grab a seat!
